Pre-owned pieces sometimes require a bit of care before resale. Leng Lui offers consignors access to professional repair and restoration services through our trusted partner, Pure & True.
Our shared approach is centred around the belief that any work done on vintage and archival pieces should only be carried out where necessary. We focus on preservation rather than transformation. Wherever possible, original materials, finishes and characteristics are retained while addressing wear that may affect the longevity or functionality of a piece.
How It Works
- You submit your consignment form, indicating whether you would like your item to be assessed for repair and restoration services prior to sale.
- We review your item and, if accepted for consignment, contact you before proceeding with a quote.
- Repair and restoration costs, along with a suggested resale price are then confirmed with you before you send your item to us.
- Once approved, you can send your item to us. We offer a courier service in select countries. See our Courier Collection page for more information.
- We then conduct authenticity checks and a condition review before sending it to Pure & True.
- Repair and restoration work is completed, typically within 2-3 weeks.
- Your item is photographed, prepared for sale and listed on our website.
- Once sold, the cost of repair and restoration costs are deducted from your final payout.
Important Information
This service is designed to remove some of the traditional burdens of consignment. If you would prefer to arrange your own repairs, we encourage you to use a reputable specialist and ask that details of any work carried out are included on your consignment form.
