Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Website, purchasing from Leng Lui or consigning items with us.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Leng Lui Website located at https://leng-lui.com/ (the "Website"), including all purchases, consignments, services, content, features, tools and interactions with LENG LUI LIMITED ("Leng Lui", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing the Website, creating an account, placing an order, submitting a consignment form, consigning an item, using any of our services, or otherwise agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by them. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and LENG LUI LIMITED. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Website, purchase from Leng Lui, consign items with us or use any of our services.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping & Delivery page and any other policies or notices published on the Website from time to time.

Leng Lui is an online-only luxury resale business specialising in curated pre-owned vintage and archival designer fashion.

2. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms:

"Buyer", "Customer", "you", or "your" means any person who purchases or attempts to purchase an item from Leng Lui, uses the Website or otherwise interacts with our services.

"Consignor" means any person who submits an item for possible consignment with Leng Lui or consigns an item to us for sale.

"Final Sale Price" means the price at which an item is sold to a Buyer, whether at the originally listed price, a discounted price or a promotional price, excluding any taxes, duties, shipping charges, payment processing charges or other costs unless otherwise stated.

"Item", Product" or "Piece" means any product listed, sold, submitted for consignment or consigned with Leng Lui.

"Services" means the Website, online store, consignment services, courier collection services, repair and restoration services, authentication review, marketing, order fulfilment and any related services provided by Leng Lui from time to time.

"Suggested Resale Price" means the estimated or proposed resale price discussed with a Consignor prior to listing. It is an estimate only and does not guarantee any sale price or successful sale.

3. BRAND DISCLAIMER

Leng Lui is an independent reseller of pre-owned luxury goods. We are not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, certified by or officially connected with any of the designer brands featured on our Website, social media channels, campaigns, marketing materials or Services unless expressly stated otherwise.

All trademarks, brand names, logos and intellectual property rights relating to such brands remain the property of their respective owners and are used strictly for identification and descriptive purposes only.

References to third-party organisations, charities or service providers, including Paws United Charity and Pure & True, reflect genuine commercial or charitable partnerships maintained by Leng Lui.

4. WEBSITE USE & ACCOUNTS

4.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Website, create an account, place an order or consign items with Leng Lui.

By using the Website or any of our Services, you represent and warrant that:

all information provided by you is accurate, complete and up to date;
you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements;
you are acting in your own name and not impersonating another person or entity;
you will not use another person's personal details, account, payment method or identity without authority;
you will not use stolen, fraudulent or unauthorised payment methods;
you will not submit stolen, counterfeit or unlawfully obtained items for consignment; and
you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and for all activity carried out through your account. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

4.3 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

use the Website or Services for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes;
interfere with, disrupt or attempt to compromise the Website or its security systems;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, system or data;
submit false, misleading or incomplete information;
misuse discount codes, promotions, account creation or checkout processes;
scrape, copy, reproduce or commercially exploit Website content without permission;
use the Website in a way that may damage Leng Lui's reputation, operations or community.

Leng Lui reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, suspend accounts, restrict access or take any other action we consider appropriate where fraud, misuse, suspicious activity or breach of these Terms is suspected.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, photographs, videos, campaign imagery, styling, product descriptions, branding, logos, designs, layouts and visual identity, is owned or licensed to Leng Lui and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, copy, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise use any Website content without prior written consent from Leng Lui. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the Leng Lui name, logo, brand identity, imagery, copy, campaigns or content.

If you believe any content appearing on the Website infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact hello@leng-lui.com with sufficient detail regarding the alleged infringement. Leng Lui reserves the right to remove or amend content at its sole discretion.

6. PRODUCTS, CONDITION & VINTAGE DISCLAIMER

Unless otherwise stated, all items sold by Leng Lui are pre-owned. Each piece has had a previous life and may show signs of wear consistent with age, material composition, prior use and storage.

We strongly encourage you to carefully review all photographs, product descriptions, measurements and condition notes before making a purchase.

Condition details are disclosed to the best of our knowledge. Leng Lui aims to disclose notable condition details, flaws and signs of wear through photographs, condition notes and product descriptions where observed. However, minor variations, natural ageing and characteristics associated with pre-owned luxury items do not automatically constitute defects.

6.1 Condition Guide

Excellent

Exceptionally well cared for with little to no signs of wear.

Very Good

Gently used and may show light signs of wear, most commonly to straps, corners or interiors.

Good

Regularly used with visible signs of wear, which may include scratches, fading or discolouration to materials and hardware.

Fair

Well-loved with more noticeable wear from previous use, but still functional and full of character.

Where known, any repairs, restorations, alterations or replacements will be disclosed in the description. Condition grading is provided as general guidance only and should be read together with the full product description and photographs.

7. AUTHENTICITY

Authenticity is extremely important to Leng Lui.

All items undergo internal review and assessment prior to sale. We physically inspect and assess pieces ourselves, paying close attention to materials, hardware, serial codes, date stamps, stitching, construction, brand-specific characteristics and craftsmanship. Leng Lui also works with trusted third-party authentication providers including LegitGrails, Entrupy and other specialist authentication partners.

Items may be sold with:

a digital certificate of authenticity;
an authenticity tag linked to a digital certificate; or
a Certificate of Authenticity ("COA").

7.1 Authenticity Claims

In the unlikely event you believe an item purchased from Leng Lui may be inauthentic, you must contact us as soon as possible.

You may be required to provide:

a written assessment from an independent and reputable authentication provider explicitly stating that the item is believed to be inauthentic;
supporting photographs, serial numbers, date codes, condition details or other identifying information;
proof that the item submitted for review matches the original item sold by Leng Lui; and
any other information reasonably requested by Leng Lui.

Leng Lui reserves the right to independently review and assess all authenticity claims. We may request additional photographs, documentation or physical inspection of the item before determining eligibility for any refund, store credit or other resolution. Any costs associated with independent authentication reviews, reports or services arranged by the customer remain the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed by Leng Lui in writing. Authenticity claims may only be submitted by the original purchaser and are non-transferable.

Items submitted for review must:

match the original item sold by Leng Lui;
remain in materially the same condition as at the time of sale;
include any relevant tags, certificates, authenticity cards, dust bags or accompanying accessories originally provided with the item where applicable; and
not have undergone any repairs, replacements, alterations or significant changes in condition following purchase.

7.2 Entrupy-Certified Items

Items sold with an Entrupy COA are covered by a money-back authenticity guarantee for a period of 12 months from the original purchase date. Any authenticity claim relating to an Entrupy-certified item must be submitted within this 12-month period. If, following review and inspection, Leng Lui determines that the item is both the original item sold and inauthentic, a refund of the original purchase price may be issued. Unless otherwise agreed, refunds issued under this section exclude shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes, payment provider fees, authentication fees arranged independently by the customer and other related costs.

7.3 Other Authentication Providers

Items authenticated with trusted third-party providers other than Entrupy will also be reviewed carefully in the event of an authenticity concern. However, unless expressly stated otherwise, these items are not covered by the same 12-month Entrupy money-back guarantee. Any refund, store credit or resolution in respect of these items remains subject to Leng Lui's review and sole discretion.

7.4 Inconclusive or Rejected Claims

If an item is determined to be authentic, if external findings are inconclusive or insufficient, or if the item cannot be confirmed as the original item sold by Leng Lui, no refund will be issued. Any associated shipping costs for return of the item to the customer may remain the responsibility of the customer. Any costs associated with independent authentication reviews or services arranged by the customer remain the responsibility of the customer. Final determination of eligibility for any refund, store credit or other resolution remains at the sole discretion of Leng Lui following internal review.

8. PAYMENT, BUY NOW PAY LATER & FRAUD PREVENTION

Leng Lui accepts payment methods made available through Shopify Payments and other approved providers from time to time. Payment methods may include major credit cards, debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or any other payment options made available at checkout. Leng Lui may also offer access to third-party buy now, pay later payment providers, including X Pay for eligible Hong Kong customers. Use of buy now, pay later services is subject to the relevant provider's own terms, conditions, approvals and eligibility requirements. Customers choosing to use these services should carefully review the applicable provider terms before proceeding. Leng Lui is not responsible for declined applications, failed payments, late payment fees, account restrictions, credit decisions or any other actions or decisions made by third-party payment providers.

Leng Lui reserves the right to:

refuse or cancel transactions suspected of fraud, misuse or unauthorised activity;
request additional identity, billing or payment verification before processing high value orders;
refuse transactions where billing, shipping or payment details cannot be verified;
cancel orders where payment is reversed, disputed or not successfully received; and
restrict use of payment methods where required for security or compliance reasons.

9. DISCOUNT CODES & PROMOTIONS

Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to their stated terms and may be amended, withdrawn or cancelled by Leng Lui at any time.

Unless otherwise stated, discount codes:

are non-transferable;
cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or other monetary value;
may not be combined with other promotions;
may be limited to one use per customer, household, email address, account, payment method, device or order;
may be valid for a limited time only; and
may exclude certain products, sale items, gift cards, charitable donations, shipping or services.

Leng Lui reserves the right to cancel orders, revoke discounts or suspend accounts where promotional codes are misused, duplicated or used fraudulently. The HK$280 off first-order discount, where offered, is limited to one use per eligible customer unless otherwise stated.

10. CONSIGNMENT TERMS

10.1 Consignment Agreement

By submitting a consignment form, consigning an item with Leng Lui or otherwise using our consignment services, you enter into a binding consignment agreement with LENG LUI LIMITED governed by these Terms. Leng Lui reserves the right to reject any consignment request or item at its sole discretion, including where an item does not align with our curation, quality standards, pricing expectations, brand direction or operational requirements. Submission of a consignment form does not constitute acceptance of any item for consignment. Final acceptance of any item for consignment only occurs following physical receipt, authenticity review and condition assessment by Leng Lui.

10.2 Ownership & Authority

By consigning an item, you represent and warrant that:

you are at least 18 years old;
you are the lawful owner of the item or fully authorised to consign it;
the item is authentic;
the item has not been stolen, unlawfully obtained or acquired through criminal activity;
the item may legally be sold and exported where applicable;
the item is not subject to any third-party ownership claim, lien, charge or dispute;
all information provided by you is accurate, complete and not misleading; and
you will promptly notify Leng Lui of any information that may affect the item's authenticity, condition, value or saleability.

Legal title to consigned items remains with the Consignor until sold, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10.3 Standard Consignment Process

The standard consignment process typically operates as follows:

You submit a consignment form through the Website.
We review your submission and determine whether the item is suitable for consignment.
If provisionally accepted, we contact you with a suggested resale price and to collect any additional information required, including payout details and information relating to courier collection or repair and restoration services where applicable.
Once the suggested resale price and next steps are agreed, you may either arrange tracked shipping independently or use our courier collection service where available.
Upon arrival in Hong Kong, the item undergoes authenticity and condition checks.
Where applicable and approved, repair or restoration services may be arranged.
The item is photographed, prepared for sale and listed on the Website.
Once sold, Leng Lui deducts its fee and any approved costs before issuing your payout.

Any pricing guidance, calculator figures, estimated resale values or preliminary discussions are indicative only and do not constitute guarantees of sale price, timing or successful sale. Leng Lui may release consigned items as part of curated drops or collections from time to time. In some cases, we may recommend timing a listing around seasonal demand, curation or other operational considerations in order to help present an item in its best light.

10.4 Final Acceptance, Authenticity & Condition Review

All items submitted for consignment remain subject to final authenticity and condition review upon physical receipt by Leng Lui. If an item is found to be inauthentic, materially inconsistent with the information provided by the Consignor, or significantly different in condition from that disclosed prior to shipment, Leng Lui reserves the right to reject the item and cancel the consignment process. In such circumstances, the Consignor may be charged a HKD$250 administrative and handling fee per item, in addition to any authentication, shipping or other related costs incurred by Leng Lui. Any outstanding amounts must be paid before the item is returned to the Consignor. The Consignor remains responsible for all return shipping costs relating to items rejected following authenticity or condition review. Leng Lui reserves the right to withhold release of the item until all outstanding amounts have been settled.

10.5 Unauthorised Deliveries

Items must not be shipped or delivered to Leng Lui without prior written approval or confirmation from our team. Leng Lui does not accept deliveries at its registered office. Items sent without prior approval or to an address not expressly provided by Leng Lui for consignment purposes are sent entirely at the sender's risk. Leng Lui is not responsible for unauthorised deliveries and cannot guarantee acceptance, storage, processing or return of any item sent without prior approval.

10.6 International Consignments & Restricted Materials

Leng Lui accepts international consignments at its discretion. At this time, we may be unable to accept certain items containing exotic skins, fur or other restricted materials from international consignors due to customs, import/export and regulatory restrictions. Leng Lui reserves the right to refuse any item where shipment, customs clearance, resale or return may create legal, customs or operational risk.

10.7 Consignment Fees

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Leng Lui's consignment fees are:

Leng Lui's fee, along with any approved costs relating to courier collection, repair and restoration services, or elected charitable donations, will be deducted from the Final Sale Price before payout. Unless otherwise stated, standard authentication, product preparation, packaging and Leng Lui's carbon-neutral shipping initiatives are included as part of Leng Lui's consignment service and are not separately charged to the Consignor.

10.8 Payouts

Consignor payouts are issued by bank transfer.

Payouts are generally processed within 10 business days after a successful sale, provided that:

cleared payment has been received from the Buyer;
the transaction has been successfully completed and is not subject to any active dispute, reversal, suspected fraud or payment issue;
all payout details have been provided by the Consignor; and
there are no unresolved issues relating to the sale or consignment.

A successful sale means a sale that has been completed and not cancelled, reversed, disputed or otherwise subject to an active payment issue or fraud review.

Approved costs and amounts may be deducted from the Consignor's payout, including but not limited to:

Leng Lui's consignment fee;
courier collection costs;
repair and restoration costs;
administrative costs;
any charitable donation elected by the Consignor;
intermediary bank fees, receiving bank charges, currency conversion fees or foreign exchange costs where applicable; and
any other costs reasonably agreed or incurred in connection with the consignment.

Consignors are responsible for ensuring payout and contact information remains accurate and up to date, and for responding to reasonable requests relating to payout processing. Consignor payouts are issued in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD). Where a Consignor elects to receive payment into a non-HKD account, any intermediary bank fees, receiving bank charges, currency conversion fees, foreign exchange fluctuations or other charges applied by banks, payment providers or financial institutions remain the responsibility of the Consignor. As a result, the final amount received by the Consignor may differ from the payout amount issued by Leng Lui. Leng Lui does not issue consignor payouts in cash or by cheque.

Consignors are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, reporting obligations or other liabilities arising in their own jurisdiction in connection with payouts received from Leng Lui. Leng Lui does not provide tax, legal or financial advice. Leng Lui reserves the right to withhold, delay, offset or recover consignor payouts where reasonably necessary in connection with suspected fraud, authenticity disputes, chargebacks, returns, unpaid fees, policy breaches or other outstanding amounts owed to Leng Lui.

10.9 Minimum Consignment Period & Withdrawals

Consigned items must remain with Leng Lui for a minimum period of 3 months from the date the item is listed on the Website, unless otherwise agreed in writing. If a Consignor requests withdrawal of an item within the 3-month period, Leng Lui reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of HKD$250 per item, in addition to any costs already incurred.

If an item is withdrawn before sale, whether before or after the minimum period, the Consignor remains responsible for any costs already incurred by Leng Lui, including but not limited to:

courier collection costs;
return shipping costs;
authentication fees;
repair and restoration costs;
administrative costs; and
any other related expenses incurred.

Any outstanding amounts must be paid before the item is returned. Leng Lui may withhold return of an item until all outstanding fees, costs and expenses have been settled. Once an item has been dispatched back to the Consignor following withdrawal, rejection or return, risk of loss or damage transfers to the Consignor. Leng Lui is not responsible for items lost, delayed or damaged during return transit, but where return shipping is arranged by Leng Lui, we will assist with any available courier or insurance claim where reasonably possible.

10.10 Unsold Items, Promotions & Price Adjustments

Leng Lui does not guarantee that any consigned item will sell. From time to time, Leng Lui may recommend promotional activity or pricing adjustments to help encourage a sale. Any discounts or promotional activity relating to a consigned item will be communicated to the Consignor in advance.

Leng Lui also reserves the right to:

temporarily pause listings;
remove listings;
return items to consignors; or
decline to continue listing items where appropriate.

Any Final Sale Price achieved following discounts, promotions or pricing adjustments will remain subject to Leng Lui's applicable consignment fee structure.

10.11 Abandoned or Unclaimed Consignment Items

If an item is rejected, withdrawn, unsold, or otherwise ready to be returned to the Consignor, the Consignor must respond to Leng Lui's communications and cooperate in arranging return. If Leng Lui is unable to contact the Consignor, or if the Consignor fails to pay outstanding amounts or arrange return within 60 days of notification, Leng Lui may treat the item as abandoned. Where an item is abandoned, Leng Lui reserves the right to arrange storage, resale or other appropriate handling of the item, subject to applicable law.

10.12 Marketing Rights

By consigning items with Leng Lui, you grant Leng Lui the right to photograph, film, style and otherwise use consigned items for editorial, promotional, advertising, campaign, social media, brand activation and marketing purposes during the consignment period. Leng Lui owns the copyright in all photographs, videos, product descriptions and promotional content created by Leng Lui in connection with consigned items.

11. COURIER COLLECTION SERVICE

Leng Lui offers courier collection services for consignors in select countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong (complimentary), the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Where courier collection is arranged by Leng Lui:

courier collection costs, along with a suggested resale price, will be confirmed with the Consignor before collection is arranged;
a prepaid shipping label will be provided;
the courier provider will contact the Consignor directly to coordinate pickup;
shipments arranged through this service will be sent tracked and insured; and
items delivered through this service will undergo authenticity and condition review upon arrival in Hong Kong before any approved repair or restoration services are carried out (if applicable), after which the item will be prepared for sale and listed on the Website.

Consignors are responsible for ensuring items are packaged securely and appropriately for transit prior to collection. Leng Lui is not responsible for any damage caused by insufficient or improper packaging. Use of this service is optional. If Consignors arrange shipping independently, items must be sent using a tracked shipping method and Leng Lui strongly encourages the use of appropriate insurance coverage. Items shipped independently remain the responsibility of the Consignor until safely delivered to and accepted by Leng Lui.

Courier collection costs will be advanced by Leng Lui and deducted from the Consignor's final payout upon sale of the item in order to help make the consignment process as seamless and convenient as possible. If a Consignor withdraws an item before sale, any approved courier collection costs already incurred by Leng Lui remain payable by the Consignor. Leng Lui ensures that all shipments arranged through this service are carbon-neutral at no additional cost to the Consignor.

12. REPAIRS & RESTORATION SERVICE

Leng Lui offers consignors access to repair and restoration services through our trusted partner, Pure & True.

Where repair and restoration services are arranged through Leng Lui:

repair and restoration costs, along with a suggested resale price, will be confirmed with the Consignor before the item is sent to us;
items may be shipped to Leng Lui independently by the Consignor or through our courier collection service;
items delivered to Leng Lui will undergo authenticity and condition review upon arrival in Hong Kong before any work is carried out;
approved items will then be sent to Pure & True and returned to Leng Lui typically within 2-3 weeks, depending on the nature of the work required; and
once returned, Leng Lui will prepare the item for sale and list it on the Website.

Use of this service is optional. Consignors who arrange independent repairs, cleaning or restoration services must disclose details of any work carried out on their consignment form. Repair and restoration costs will be advanced by Leng Lui and deducted from the Consignor's final payout upon sale of the item in order to help make the consignment process as seamless and convenient as possible. If a Consignor withdraws an item before sale, any approved repair and restoration costs already incurred by Leng Lui remain payable by the Consignor.

While all reasonable care will be taken when arranging repairs, cleaning or restoration services, vintage and archival items may inherently carry risks due to age, condition, material composition, construction or prior wear. Leng Lui is not responsible for natural material deterioration, existing weaknesses, age-related fragility or issues that become apparent during reasonable repair, cleaning or restoration work. In the unlikely event damage occurs during repair, cleaning or restoration services arranged by Leng Lui, Leng Lui's liability shall be limited to the agreed suggested resale price of the item, unless otherwise required by law.

13. COUNTERFEIT ITEMS & CONSIGNOR AUTHENTICITY OBLIGATIONS

Leng Lui maintains a strict anti-counterfeit policy. By submitting an item for consignment, the Consignor confirms that the item is authentic.

If an item is determined, or reasonably suspected, to be counterfeit, inauthentic or unable to be verified:

Leng Lui may refuse consignment or remove the item from sale immediately;
the Consignor may be required to reimburse authentication, administrative, shipping and other costs incurred;
Leng Lui may retain, surrender or dispose of the item where required by law;
Leng Lui may cooperate with brand owners, law enforcement, customs authorities or other relevant authorities;
Leng Lui may suspend, restrict, terminate or permanently ban the Consignor's account and access to our Services; and
Leng Lui may refuse future consignment requests or service to the Consignor.

If an item is sold and later found to be inauthentic, the Consignor may be required to reimburse Leng Lui for any refund, shipping, authentication, administrative or related losses incurred by Leng Lui in connection with the item, to the extent such amounts are otherwise not recovered by Leng Lui.

14. RISK, LOSS & INSURANCE FOR CONSIGNED ITEMS

Risk in any consigned item remains with the Consignor until the item has been physically received and accepted by Leng Lui. Once accepted, consigned items will be handled and stored with care by Leng Lui while they are in our possession. In the unlikely event of loss or damage while an item is in Leng Lui's possession, Leng Lui's liability shall be limited to the agreed suggested resale price of the item at the time of consignment, unless otherwise required by law.

Leng Lui shall not be liable for:

inherent wear;
age-related deterioration;
material fragility;
damage caused by insufficient packaging prior to collection or delivery;
damage occurring before physical receipt by Leng Lui;
damage occurring during independently arranged shipping; or
events outside Leng Lui's reasonable control.

15. BUYER ORDERS

Products are offered for sale subject to availability.

Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance of that order. Leng Lui reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order, including where:

the item is unavailable;
payment cannot be verified;
fraud or suspicious activity is suspected;
there is an obvious pricing or listing error;
shipping restrictions apply; or
Leng Lui is otherwise unable to fulfil the order.

If payment has already been taken for an order that is cancelled by Leng Lui, we will refund the amount paid using the original payment method where possible. All products are sold strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Adding an item to cart does not reserve it.

16. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Leng Lui offers tracked and insured worldwide shipping from Hong Kong through trusted courier providers including, but not limited to, SF Express and DHL. Shipping fees and available delivery options are displayed at checkout. Delivery estimates are guidelines only and are not guaranteed. Leng Lui is unable to ship orders to PO box addresses and certain items may be unavailable for international delivery due to material restrictions.

16.1 Order Processing

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days. Processing times may vary during busy periods, holidays or circumstances outside of our control. Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information will be sent by email.

16.2 Shipping Insurance

All orders sent by Leng Lui are shipped with tracking and insured for transit up to USD$10,000 per package. For orders above this value, Leng Lui will review available options for additional one-off insurance coverage where possible.

16.3 Duties & Taxes

International orders are shipped on a Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) basis unless otherwise stated. This means customs duties, import duties, VAT, brokerage fees and other related charges imposed by the destination country are not included in your order total and remain your responsibility. Customers are the importer of record and are responsible for complying with all import laws and requirements of the destination country. If duties or taxes are refused and a shipment is returned to Leng Lui, abandoned, destroyed or otherwise disposed of by customs or the courier provider, Leng Lui reserves the right to refuse any refund of the original purchase price and shipping costs.

16.4 Delivery & Transfer of Risk

Responsibility for an order passes to the customer once the shipment has been marked as delivered by the courier provider to the delivery address provided at checkout. Leng Lui is not responsible for courier delays, customs delays, local delivery issues, failed delivery attempts, incorrect shipping information supplied by the customer or events outside of our control. If any issues arise during transit or delivery, we encourage customers to contact us and we will do our best to assist wherever possible.

16.5 Lost or Damaged Shipments

If a shipment is lost or damaged during transit, Leng Lui will work with the courier provider to investigate the issue and pursue any available claim or resolution. Any refund, store credit or other resolution will depend on the outcome of the courier investigation, insurance coverage and circumstances of the shipment. Leng Lui is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect shipping information supplied by the customer, failure to accept delivery, refusal to pay duties or taxes, or circumstances outside Leng Lui's control.

16.6 Unclaimed or Refused Shipments

If a shipment is unclaimed, refused or otherwise returned to Leng Lui, we will attempt to contact the customer using the details associated with the order.

Where an item is successfully returned to Leng Lui in its original condition, any refund or store credit issued remains the sole discretion of Leng Lui and may be reduced to account for:

return shipping costs;
payment provider fees;
administrative costs; and
any other reasonable costs incurred in connection with the return.

If the Customer requests redelivery, additional shipping and related costs may apply before the item is re-shipped. If a return shipment cannot be recovered, is abandoned, destroyed or otherwise fails to return to Leng Lui, the Customer will not be entitled to any refund or store credit.

17. RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

17.1 Final Sale

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our pieces, all sales are final. Leng Lui does not offer refunds, returns, exchanges or order cancellations except where required by law or expressly provided for under these Terms.

17.2 Condition-Based Returns

All items are pre-owned, unless stated otherwise. Signs of age, prior use, natural wear or disclosed condition issues do not qualify for return, refund or exchange. Customers are responsible for reviewing all photographs, descriptions, measurements and condition notes before purchasing.

17.3 Authenticity Claims

Authenticity-related claims are governed by Section 7 of these Terms.

17.4 Store Credit & Discretionary Resolutions

Any store credit, refund or goodwill resolution offered by Leng Lui remains entirely at our discretion unless otherwise required by law.

18. GIFT CARDS

Digital gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Leng Lui is not responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected or unauthorised use of digital gift cards once delivered to the recipient email address provided at checkout. Gift cards may be subject to additional terms stated at the time of purchase.

19. GIVEAWAYS & PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

Items received through giveaways, collaborations, gifts or promotional campaigns cannot be exchanged for cash, store credit or alternative products. Leng Lui reserves the right to amend, withdraw or cancel promotions at any time.

20. PROJECT 888 & CHARITABLE DONATIONS

Leng Lui partners with Paws United Charity through Project 888. Leng Lui may make fixed donations from pieces sold from our own collection and may also facilitate voluntary charitable contributions from customers and consignors.

Optional donations may be made:

by customers at checkout; and
by consignors through consignment forms.

All charitable donations and elected contributions are voluntary, final and non-refundable. Where a Consignor elects to make a charitable donation through a consignment form, that amount will be deducted from the final payout once the item sells and transferred to Paws United Charity. Where a Customer elects to make a charitable donation at checkout, the donation will be collected and transferred to Paws United Charity. Leng Lui may publish aggregated or anonymised information about donations raised through Project 888, but will not publicly identify individual donors without consent. If a Customer or Consignor requires a Hong Kong tax deduction receipt for eligible donations, they may need to contact Paws United Charity directly. Leng Lui does not issue tax receipts on behalf of the charity.

21. SUSTAINABILITY

Leng Lui offers carbon-neutral shipping on all orders placed through the Website and for every shipment arranged via our courier collection service at no additional cost to the Customer or Consignor. Leng Lui may work with third-party providers to support carbon-neutral shipping or environmental impact initiatives. Any sustainability-related features, badges or statements are based on information provided by the relevant third-party provider and may change from time to time.

22. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Leng Lui may use third-party service providers to support payments, shipping, authentication, repairs and restoration, forms, reviews, sustainability, charitable donations, analytics, marketing and other business operations. Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Leng Lui is not responsible for acts, omissions, delays, decisions, fees, errors or service failures of third-party providers except where required by law.

23. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leng Lui shall not be liable for:

courier delays, delivery failures or customs delays outside our control;
actions or decisions of third-party payment providers, authentication providers or repair and restoration specialists;
Website downtime or technical interruptions;
unauthorised account access resulting from a Customer's failure to maintain the security of their account details;
natural ageing, vintage wear, material fragility or characteristics commonly associated with pre-owned and vintage items; or
damage, wear or deterioration occurring after delivery to the Customer.

In any event, Leng Lui's total liability relating to any product, order, consigned item or service shall not exceed:

the purchase price paid by the Customer for the relevant item; or
the agreed suggested resale value of the relevant consigned item, as applicable.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Hong Kong law.

24. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leng Lui, its directors, employees, contractors, partners and service providers from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from:

your breach of these Terms;
false, misleading or incomplete information provided by you;
counterfeit, stolen or unlawfully obtained items submitted by you;
your misuse of the Website or Services;
your breach of any law or third-party rights; or
any claim relating to your ownership, authority or right to sell a consigned item.

25. FORCE MAJEURE

Leng Lui shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics or war.

26. PRIVACY

Use of the Website and Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Website or our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy in relation to the collection, use, processing or disclosure of personal information, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.

27. NOTICES & COMMUNICATIONS

Leng Lui may contact you by email, WhatsApp, phone, account notification or any contact details provided by you. You are responsible for ensuring your contact details remain accurate and up to date.

28. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith by contacting Leng Lui at hello@leng-lui.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of Hong Kong shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine the dispute.

29. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. If modification is not possible, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

30. NO WAIVER

No failure or delay by Leng Lui in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.

31. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Leng Lui reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will become effective upon publication on the Website. The Terms in force at the time of a purchase, consignment submission or service request will apply to that transaction or service unless otherwise required by law. Continued use of the Website or Services following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
