  • Contact details including your name, address, billing address, shipping address, courier collection address (if applicable), phone number and email address. For consignment partners, this includes any details required to establish a consignment relationship.
  • Financial information including credit card, debit card and financial account numbers, payment card information, financial account information, transaction details, form of payment, payment confirmation and other payment details. Customer payment card information is processed securely by third-party payment processors and is not stored in full by us. For consignment partners, this includes bank account details which are securely stored and used solely for the purpose of issuing consignment payouts. 
  • Account information including your username, password, security questions, preferences and settings.
  • Transaction information including the items you view, put in your cart, add to your wishlist, or purchase, your past transactions and any election to make a charitable donation at checkout or through a consignment agreement.
  • Communications with us including the information you include in communications with us, for example, when sending a customer support inquiry or messaging us via email or WhatsApp.
  • Device information including information about your device, browser, or network connection, your IP address and other unique identifiers.
  • Usage information including information regarding your interaction with the Services, including how and when you interact with or navigate the Services.

We may collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you including when you create an account, visit or use the Services, submit an item for consignment, choose to make a charitable donation, communicate with us via email or WhatsApp or otherwise provide us with your personal information.
  • Automatically through the Services including from your device when you use our products or services or visit our website, and through the use of cookies and similar technologies. You can manage or disable cookies and tracking technologies through your browser settings or device preferences. Some features of the Services may not function properly if cookies are disabled. 
  • From our service providers including when we engage them to enable certain technology and when they collect or process your personal information on our behalf (such as Shopify, payment processors including Shopify Payments, PayPal or other payment gateways we may use from time to time, buy-now-pay-later providers such as X Pay, including where required to process, confirm or track X Pay transactions, logistics and shipping providers including Easyship and courier partners, accounting and business management tools including Xero, and customer service, email marketing and review platforms, including Klaviyo and Trustpilot, as well as other similar service providers we may engage in the future). We may also use third-party applications connected to Shopify. This may include providers such as Jotform (for consignment form processing), Shopify Planet (for environmental impact initiatives) and Easy Donation (for charitable donation processing).
  • From social media and marketing partners including tracking data, pixels and interaction metrics from our connected social media channels, such as Instagram and Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.), to help us analyse traffic and improve our ad targeting.
  • From promotional activities and giveaways where you voluntarily enter contests, sign up for offers, or participate in marketing campaigns. 

How We Use Your Personal Information

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, Tailor, and Improve the Services. We use your personal information to provide you with the Services, including to perform our contract with you, process your payments, fulfil your orders, manage consignment accounts and payouts, process elected charitable donations, remember your preferences and items you are interested in, send notifications to you related to your account, arrange for shipping and create a customised shopping experience for you.
  • Marketing and Advertising. In accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), we will only send you marketing, advertising and promotional communications by email, text message, WhatsApp or other direct messaging channels if you have provided your explicit opt-in consent. We may also use your data to show you online advertisements on other websites or social platforms like Instagram based on your activity. You have the right to withdraw your consent and opt out of direct marketing at any time.
  • Promotions, Giveaways and Marketing Campaigns. We use personal information to administer contests, giveaways, promotions and special offers, including contacting entrants and selecting winners where applicable.

  • With Shopify, vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf (e.g. IT management, payment processing, buy-now-pay-later transaction processing, form processing, charitable donation processing, environmental impact initiatives, data analytics, messaging and communication tools (including WhatsApp where applicable), email marketing and customer engagement platforms (including Klaviyo), customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping).
  • With our charity partner, Paws United Charity, if you explicitly choose to allocate a portion of your consignment proceeds or make a donation at checkout, we may share basic transaction and verification details necessary to process and facilitate the donation.  If you are a Hong Kong resident and require an official tax deduction receipt for your donation (applicable for total annual donations of HKD 100 or above), you will need to contact Paws United Charity directly. Any data you provide directly to them to obtain a tax receipt is managed independently by the charity under their own privacy practices and policies.
  • With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify and Meta tracking tools to support personalised advertising based on your online activity. Our partners use this information in accordance with their own privacy notices.
  • With customer review platforms such as Trustpilot for the purpose of sending review invitation emails, facilitating the collection of customer feedback and managing and publishing customer reviews.
  • With your consent, we may display or publish customer reviews, testimonials or user-generated content that you submit, including for marketing and promotional purposes. We may also share aggregated or anonymised information about community activity or charitable donations (such as total amounts raised for Paws United Charity). We will not publicly display your name or identifiable information in marketing materials unless you have given us explicit consent to do so. 
  • When you direct, request us or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of the business, to comply with any applicable legal obligations, to enforce any applicable terms and conditions or policies and to protect or defend the Services, our rights and the rights of our users or others.

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you.
