FAQs
Shopping With Leng Lui
Are the pieces you sell authentic?
Yes. We carefully assess every piece before it's listed for sale, paying close attention to materials, hardware, stitching, serial codes, construction and overall craftsmanship.
We also work with trusted third-party authentication providers including LegitGrails and Entrupy to help verify our findings. If we aren't fully confident in the authenticity of a piece, it doesn't get listed.
What condition are your pieces in?
All of the pieces we sell are pre-owned unless stated otherwise and may show signs of wear consistent with age and previous use.
To make things easier, we use a simple guide:
- Excellent: Exceptionally well cared for with little to no signs of wear.
- Very Good: Gently used and may show light signs of wear, most commonly to straps, corners or interiors.
- Good: Regularly used with visible signs of wear, which may include scratches, fading or discolouration to materials and hardware.
- Fair: Well-loved with more noticeable wear from previous use, but still functional and full of character.
Any flaws, repairs or visible signs of age and use will be included in the photos and product description. We encourage you to review these closely before placing your order.
What's the difference between vintage and archival fashion?
Vintage pieces are at least twenty years old, whereas archival fashion refers to specific pieces from a designer's past collections. While all archival pieces may eventually become vintage, not all vintage pieces are archival.
Do you sell menswear?
Not at the moment, but never say never. While Leng Lui is currently focused on womenswear, we wouldn't rule out a Leng Jai collection one day!
How often do you release new pieces?
We release new pieces as they are sourced. If you'd like to stay up to date on our latest arrivals, you can join our mailing list and follow us on Instagram.
Can I ask for more photos before placing my order?
Of course! We want you to feel confident in your purchase. If you'd like more photos or have any questions about a piece, please reach out to us.
Will my item come with its original packaging and accessories?
Because our pieces are pre-owned, original boxes, dust bags, authenticity cards and other accessories aren't always included. If they are, this will be noted in the product description.
If an original dust bag is missing, we'll include a complimentary Leng Lui dust bag to help keep your item protected.
Do I need to create an account to place an order?
No, you can check out as a guest. Creating an account just makes it easier to view your order history, track deliveries and checkout faster in the future.
Do you offer Buy Now, Pay Later?
Yes. We offer X Pay, a Buy Now, Pay Later payment option for Hong Kong residents aged 18+, which allows you to split your purchase into 3 interest-free instalments.
Simply select X Pay at checkout and follow the payment instructions sent to your email after placing your order.
To learn more about X Pay, eligibility requirements and the X Wallet app, please visit the X Pay website.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Leng Lui digital gift cards are delivered instantly by email, redeemable across all Leng Lui pieces, never expire and can be used towards all or part of an order.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes, we take privacy and data security very seriously. We work with trusted providers, including Shopify, to help keep your information secure and process transactions safely. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, all international orders are shipped tracked and insured via DHL Express.
Will I need to pay duties and taxes?
If you are shipping an order outside of Hong Kong, it will be sent on a Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) basis.
This means customs duties, import taxes and other related fees imposed by the destination country are not included in your order total and remain your responsibility.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days. Hong Kong orders usually arrive within 1-2 business days via SF Express. International delivery times vary by destination, but most orders arrive within 2-7 business days.
How can i track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information via email so you can follow its progress.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our pieces, all sales are final. We do not offer returns, refunds, exchanges or cancellations. For further information, please review our Refund Policy.
Selling With Leng Lui
What items do you accept?
We take pride in curating statement pieces and timeless classics from luxury designer brands. While our focus is on vintage and archival fashion, we also consider pieces beyond these categories that align with our edit.
How does consignment work?
Selling with Leng Lui is designed to be as straightforward as possible:
- Submit a consignment form through our website.
- If your item is accepted, we'll discuss pricing, shipping and any additional services that may be required.
- Send your item to us using tracked shipping or courier collection service where available.
- Your item undergoes authenticity and condition checks and, where applicable, any approved repair or restoration work before being photographed and prepared for sale.
- We list your item on our website.
- Once sold, we issue your payout after deducting our fee and any approved costs.
Do you accept international consignments?
Yes, we work with consignors from around the world. If your item is accepted, we'll guide you through the shipping process and discuss available options depending on your location.
Do you offer courier collection?
Yes! To make selling with us as stress-free as possible, we offer a courier collection service in select countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States.
All shipments arranged through this service are tracked, insured and carbon-neutral. If you'd rather make your own arrangements, that's fine too.
I live in Hong Kong. Can I drop my item off?
We currently only accept consignments by shipment. The good news is that our courier collection service is complimentary for consignors based in Hong Kong!
Where do I send my item?
If your item is accepted for consignment, we will provide you with either a shipping address or a prepaid shipping label, depending on how you choose to send it to us.
Please don't send items to our registered office address, this is not where we receive our consignment pieces!
What if my item needs repairs before it's sold?
We work with our trusted partner, Pure & True, to offer repair and restoration services to our consignors. Our shared approach focuses on preservation rather than transformation, with work carried out only where necessary to help maintain the longevity and functionality of a piece.
Any recommended work and costs will be discussed with you and approved in advance.
What are your consignment fees?
When you consign with us, you can receive up to 90% of the final sale price. For a full breakdown of our fees, please visit our Consignment Fees page.
When will I get paid?
Consignor payouts are issued by bank transfer in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) and generally processed within 10 business days of a successful sale.
Any agreed fees, approved costs or elected charitable donations will be deducted before your payout is issued.
Project 888 & Sustainability
What is Project 888?
Project 888 is our charitable initiative in partnership with Paws United Charity, a local rescue organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need.
How much does Leng Lui donate?
For pieces sold from our own collection, we make a fixed donation based on final sale price.
HK$288 for pieces below HK$10,000; HK$588 for pieces between HK$10,001 - HK$18,000; and HK$888 for pieces above HK$18,001.
I want to donate too. How can I get involved?
If you're consigning with us, you can choose to donate a portion of your payout when submitting a consignment form. If your item is accepted and sold, this will be deducted from your final payout and transferred directly to Paws United Charity.
If you're shopping with us, you can add an optional donation to your cart at checkout.
Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?
If you're based in Hong Kong and require a tax receipt, you'll need to contact Paws United Charity directly. We do not issue tax receipts on their behalf.
I love that you support rescue animals, but what's the connection?
Project 888 is deeply personal to us. Our connection to Paws United Charity comes from seeing the incredible work they do firsthand ad knowing from the very beginning that we wanted them to be a part of Leng Lui. Through Project 888, we're able to support their work in a consistent way while creating a more meaningful way to shop and sell.
We recognise that some may wonder how this aligns with the occasional vintage or archival piece that features fur or exotic skins. As a business focused exclusively on pre-owned fashion, our approach remains centred on extending the life of existing items rather than supporting new production.
Is shopping with Leng Lui sustainable?
By keeping vintage and archival pieces in circulation, we help reduce waste and encourage a slower, more considered approach to luxury fashion.
We also offer carbon-neutral shipping on all orders and courier collection shipments and are committed to using more sustainable packaging materials.
Can I recycle or reuse my Leng Lui packaging?
Our packaging is designed to be beautiful, protective and lower-impact wherever possible. Leng Lui dust bags are intended to be reused for storage or travel, while our signature boxes make wonderful homes for keepsakes long after your order arrives. However, should you ever decide to part with yours, they're recyclable!
Our tissue paper, kraft paper, thank you cards, tags and mailing boxes can also be recycled. The only plastic currently used in our packaging is the external customs document pouch, which is made from 100% recycled plastic pollution and recyclable with soft plastics. As with all aspects of Leng Lui, we're always looking for thoughtful ways to do better.
